Private Timber Sale Management
Ottawa Forest Products has on-staff forestry experts, with more than 60 years of experience, who have been working with private land owners. Our company can work with you to estimate timber value, OFP will coordinate with trustworthy loggers and truckers to get the timber harvested and to markets. Our team is diligent in following SFI and BMP guidelines to complete the work with minimal permanent impact on the forest and surrounding land. Our logging practices are designed to preserve hunting and fishing land while also obtaining good value for the land owner’s timber. June 2017 - I met Jamie Ofstad from Ottawa Forest Products when he and his crew were logging a property adjacent to mine. He informed me that I had some mature pine and aspen on my property that should be harvested. We walked the property and discussed what to cut and what to leave standing. Everything was done exactly as he proposed in his cutting contract. When his crew was finished all roads on my property were graded and improved to much better standards than when they started.
